In 2022, a colleague and I presented a proposal to the General Assembly of the National Youth Parliament Association of Antigua and Barbuda (NYPAAB) advocating for the creation of a Feminine Sanitary Product Bill. The proposal was voted to the top of the legislative agenda and subsequently developed in collaboration with the NYPAAB Legislative Committee.

The final bill, the NYPAAB 2022 Feminine Sanitary Product Bill, aimed to make feminine sanitary products zero-taxed items and called for price regulations to improve affordability and access across Antigua and Barbuda. The bill was successfully debated and passed during the 2022 sitting of the National Youth Parliament, marking a significant milestone in youth-led legislative advocacy for menstrual equity and gender-responsive public policy.

Following the bill's passage, the momentum gave rise to the Menstrual Project Committee. The project distributed over 300 packages of sanitary napkins, tampons, and hygiene products to schools and underserved areas. In addition to product distribution, The Menstrual Project launched a series of educational outreach campaigns, including publications and school visits that reached over 1,000 students, offering accurate information on menstruation and period poverty.

Overall, this initiative brought national attention to the issue of menstrual equity.

In 2019, I participated in the U.S. Embassy Youth Ambassadors Program for Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean. As a result, I collaborated with Jan’s Empowerment Institute to access the Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF). With the AEIF and under the leadership of the Jan’s Empowerment Institute, I helped facilitate a 12-week online SEED training titled Empowering Generations of Innovators, which equipped aspiring entrepreneurs with tools to build sustainable, environmentally responsible ventures.

I also co-hosted a 4-week youth training for individuals aged 18–35, covering climate change, adaptation strategies, community assessments, proposal writing, and leadership as Climate Change Action Agents. The project aimed to strengthen youth leadership in climate action, entrepreneurship, and community development. This experience introduced me to the fundamentals of project development and execution and truly enhanced my abilities.
